300th Post and Giveaway Winner!

I realized as I was navigating my blog to create this post, that it is my 300th! I thought it was kind of cool that my 300th missive involved announcing the winner Shepherding a Child's Heart giveaway. I used a random integer generator folded pieces of paper in a bowl, and I am pleased to announce Alana at A Kiss a Hug and a Squeeze as the recipient of this wonderful book!

(Insert wild cheering and applause here)

If you want to know 100 things about me, go here. If you are interested in strange, random facts about me, go here. And if you want even more information about the things I love, go here. I figured that 300 more things about me would be a bit much (for me to write and for you to read), so none of that today. Just a thank you for being interested enough in my writing to keep coming back, leaving comments and encouraging me in my Christian walk. The only thing I ask on the occasion of my 300th post is that if you are a lurker (and you know who you are), please leave a comment this time. I would love to visit your blog and get to know you.

Thanks Xandra. I know it is always the heart not the action I have to address with my boys. And I do. I love the Tedd Tripp book! We talked about the heart issues...and I am always saying that we need to do things to please and glorify God. It is a never ending theme in my home. Teens though...well they have heard it so long...and they KNOW what you are going to say before you say it. The matter is that I have to let the Lord do the work in their hearts. It is not a work I can do. AND I must not weary in well doing and keep repeating the message, allow grace and let them be men...it is a weird balance. Teens have challeneged me greatly. And ALL the parenting books in the world don't get it sometimes as you do it day in and day out. You know...I am just rambling here! I just loved your heart in your comment. It reminds so much of myself! Hugs!
