Nathan and Grace have been really good this evening. They ate their supper with little drama, played nicely together and when it was time for bed, wanted to sleep together. I usually don't allow this because they keep each other up all night with the giggling and the talking, but they had been so good, I decided to let them do it.
So I sent them to bed with a firm admonition to GO TO SLEEP IMMEDIATELY! After about 20 minutes, I decided to go listen at the door and make sure that they were at least settling down. I heard giggling and talking, and I opened the door with my "mommy voice" at the ready should I need it, and this is what I found:
He was reading her a bedtime story. They had made a pallet on the floor (why do kids think it's fun to sleep on the floor?) next to the very comfortable double bed in Gracie's room, and he was reading to her. It was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen him do. It reminded me of another time that he read her a story:

How sweet these pictures are! And BTW I don't plan on moving anywhere in the next few weeks, so I hope we still get to have coffee when you're in Denver!

How sweet! Those moments are priceless. I'm praying that when this little one gets here they will be the best of friends (most of the time anyway!)!
